Expedition Questions: How do we develop leaders through empowerment? How do we help children better understand their values, beliefs, commitments, and sense of purpose? How can we blend indigenous developmental frameworks with Western leadership models? What does a classroom of "leadership development" look like? What about a school?

What is a “community of practice/professional learning community” and how might teachers support and mentor each other as teaching and learning changes in this 21st century. In what ways do mentor-to-teacher relationships benefit young people in K-12 classrooms? (In what ways might students be more likely to succeed?) How might you, the teacher, begin a mentoring relationship with another teacher?
